Wiper components problem

Hi all! A month or so ago I got caught in a rain shower. My passenger windshield wiper quivered a little bit and then the arm jumped off and landed on my hood! My wiper arm has a nut pressed into the end that I cannot reconnect to the shaft or dig out of the wiper arm. The nut on the shaft has a skirt and goes up like it wants to connect to that nut in the wiper arm, but it just can't! I have looked in the parts illustrations catalog and it appears that the nut with the skirt might be part number 17515 and the nut that goes into the wiper arm end could be part number 356094-5 (section 184, page 850 is what I'm looking at). It's an electric system.

Sorry for the size of the pictures, but the first one shows that nut with the skirt on the wiper shaft and the second is the wiper arm with the nut pressed in...you can just see spline marks at the bottom of the nut.

Can somebody put me on the path to solving this seemingly simple problem? I didn't build the truck so I've never had the wiper system apart-yet.

Thanks for your help!

I can tell you the piece in the wiper hole is suppose to be mounted on the other piece. I have a donor pos cab that may yield some parts or the answer. I'll look tomorrow.

The spacer on the shaft has a skirt and goes up like it wants to connect to the nut in the wiper arm, but it just can't!

I have looked in the parts illustrations catalog and it appears that the spacer with the skirt is part number BAAA-17515-A and the nut that goes into the wiper arm end is part number 356094-S13
Spacer: Basic numbers only shown in pics, text section required to get the complete part number by adding the apropos prefix and suffix.

Nut: Standard (hardware) parts may not show the complete suffix in pics, you have to find the part it is used with (17622 in this case) to verify if the number is complete or not.

You typed a 5 instead of the S, I added the rest of the suffix.

17541 is a leather washer: B6C-17541-A // 17622 is the wiper pivot: B8Q-17622-A

That piece inside your wiper is supposed to be tack welded onto that shaft.
