Looking to add LED bed lights to my dually since Ford didn't add them to the 2015 Lariats. Just wondering what everyone has found as the best aftermarket kit to add.
I cheaped out and made my own. I just used a couple rolls of the adhesive backed LED strip lights that I got on Amazon. I added two strips of LEDS on each side to the underside of the bed rails. One pair of LED strips is tied into the puddle light connectors under the cab. They turn on when I unlock the doors with my keyfob. Unfortunately, they time out after 15 seconds. It's good for when you just need to get into the bed quickly at night.
The other pair is tied into a separate switch for when I need light on for a long time. I tend not to use those very often - I forget to turn them off - luckily the LEDs draw very low current.... because with the tonneau cover closed, I've forgotten and left them on for a couple days; surprisingly, the battery wasn't dead
