replacing fuel pump on my straight 6 f250 300 cid 1971 camper special, there are 2 types of 6 cylinders for this truck, 3.9(240 cid?) and 4.9(300 cid?), how can i tell the difference visually? and are the mechanical fuel pumps the same? also anyone recommend a long lasting brand?
If you pull the valve cover of & there is an large "A" cast in the valve spring area as in in the picture it is a 240 head. If you are the original owner you would know if it is the original head & block.
