My new 72
I really like the way its sits as its quite low, although has a few issues with how its been done.
The axle has been flipped at the rear and there is still a little suspension travel (although not much) Is there a way to slightly raise the truck at the rear to give another 1" of travel but leaving the axle over the springs? I cannot do a C notch, for legal reasons here.
The front has cut springs so it sits level with the rear - it looks good but the front is sitting on the bump stops, and it has loads of camber. Im guessing the only way to lower it without all the camber and giving some suspension travel is dropped beams?
The dropped beams are 3" drop, and I assume a rear axle flip gives more than 3", so I wonder how it will sit with only a 3"drop up front? - I guess I could maybe use dropped beams plus slightly lowered springs to bring it down a bit more, affecting the camber but not as much as I have at the moment.
Has anyone had had good/bad experiences with dropped beams - im in the UK so getting the parts shipped over and paying duty really adds up so I need to know of any issues before I commit to buying.
Thanks for any help.
If I was you I would flip the rear back to the bottom of the leafs and go with DJM Suspension hangers and shackles. They will lower you 3.5" to 4".
Maybe trade out the front springs for some 1"-2" lowering springs. The beams can be bent to correct camber. Not sure where you'd find someone to do that over the pond. Check with a shop that aligns big trucks.
