2001 automatic hubs leak
Replaced all the seals on my front axle from the yokes out; new vacuum seals, hub bearings, o-rings, grease-able u-joints, dust seals & covers, new washers, snap rings, automatic locking hubs, and added Dieselsite's ESOF stainless lines. Cleaned everything out and scotchbrite'd all the mating surfaces. Lubed all the surfaces before installing seals...There's a kitchen sink in there somewhere, I forget where.
Point is, the front has a vacuum leak. Put my smoke generator on it and I see smoke coming out of the automatic locking hubs, between the rotating "switch" and the hub itself. Not the wheel hub and the locking hubs. It isn't much, but enough that all I can get is -5 PSI on the vacuum gauge with the pump going full blast when I isolate the front hub line from the rest of the system.
The vacuum pump works, and stops at about 11.5-12 PSI when I disengage the front 4WD vacuum switch.
Are these fixable, or do I need to get a new set of locking hubs?
