Sct bdx help
I recently bought a 17 f250 43000 miles,it has a afe momentum intake,came with in the hidden glove box the tuner ,it has stock,tow ,street and performance canned tunes.website says it supposed to have a extreme tune but wasn't seeing it.Im not out to dog the **** out of it just looking for a little better fuel economy and a little more power and was just curious which tune I should run if any,thanks in advance,sorry for the newbe question

DPF on or off? I don't know how much you are new with (tuning diesels or new to diesels) so I suggest stock or the tow tune so you don't have to be concerned with damaging something, closely monitoring temps or forgetting and hooking to a trailer, etc.. Of course that changes over time by reading and learning with maybe a little experimenting. Tow tune would be a good selection if you're set on adding a few HP. I don't know about the 17+ but you begin to drain the fuel rails with high HP calibrations and that isn't good. These are heavy trucks and not MPG friendly. If this is without the DPF, you're already getting at least 1 MPG over stock and if easy cruising on the highway, maybe 2 MPG. With a 40 tanks of fuel data sample, my average increase is 1.8 MPG OEM stock calibration vs 0 HP "stock" tune.
