For instance on Ram there are speed dial numbers across the top of the screen. One press dialing. I'm not advocating switching brands by any means.

I remember that when I first paired my phone with my truck it asked me if I wanted to allow Sync to unlock my phone as soon as it sees it. I don't have to deal with my phone being locked

I just do that as a safety precaution. I don't want to be tempted to fiddle with it while driving.

It's been a year and a half since your post. It appears that no one has answered your question. What are you driving? I have a '15 Lariat with Sync 2. Mine works.Are you having trouble programming it or getting quick dial (or speed dial) to work?

Thanks for replying, unfortunately my 2017 had an engine failure and I traded it in. Driving a 2021 F150 now.

Wow. I guess I'm really old school. I am hardly ever on the phone while in the truck. Not very many things that can't wait until I'm stopped. It's not a phone while driving thing. I just don't use the phone much at all.
