If your old one is kaput, pretty much any brand-new one will be better. Kinda like tire brands, IMO; we've all got our favorites and are passionate about them.

first thing you need to understand is nobody sells a brand new box, all of them on the market are remanufactured. that said you need to know what makes what one vendor offers diffrent then the next.

cons, not assembled to the tightest tolerances
big box stores, aka Autozone

low cost , lifetime replacement warranty

lowest tolerances, high volume provider
Red Head or Blue Top
pros, very tight tolerances, high quality craftsmanship

expensive, limited warranty,
Race Shops, Howe Performance & Lee Steering to name 2

personally I use Red Head for my boxes on street driven vehicles and Howe Performance on race stuff.

I personally recommend to replace the power steering pump and resivor at the same time as the steering sector. To include all new hoses too.
