i have a 2004 f-350 6.0, 95K
Have about 1-2" of steering wheel play, makes the truck pretty annoying driving down the highway. Had a buddy come over and do some troubleshooting(shaking n wiggling) and the play is definatly in the steering box. Tried the tighting proceedure and didnt make a difference.
So looks like the box needs replacement. I've done some research and apparently "Redheaded Steering gears" is a pretty popular replacement. Anybody else use these guys?
