I have bubbles or dirt in the clear coat in that piece on the passenger side of my black 19.looks almost like little specs of sand.
Careful, don't say that too loud. You'll anger some people and they'll start attacking you saying it's not bubbles, but instead something you did to the truck.
Just take it to your dealer and ask if it's covered. The worst thing they can say is no. If the paint has actually failed they should replace it without much issue. If a rock strike caused the damage some 3M protection film in the area after a touch up couldn't hurt.
Mine is very small places, all the paint is in tact, but you can tell it’s in the clear.dealer has already looked at it and said they would fix but I’m not ready to have a brand new truck painted on.
I would take it to your local Ford dealer and let them remove it and repaint under warranty and you can continue to drive your truck while the part is being repainted.
looks to me like something fractured the paint, i.e. high pressure washer nozzle, or road debris vs. peeling
That is exactly what it looks like. In my experience, I would highly doubt this gets warranty coverage. On several of the areas, you can see a more straight vertical leading edge indicating it took a hit with something. Very likely rock related, especially if this is plastic and it would not show a dent. However, it is not uncommon on a rounded edge for a rock chip not to show an impression even with metal.
