Misfire only when P1748 Code has been cleared (video)
This happened out of no where the transmission wouldn't go into overdrive. The engine started idling rough then misfiring across the RPM band. I cleaned the transmission connector, checked the harness over cleared the code and it came back. I have tried a new IDM, ICP, two CPS, the misfire is still there. The injectors are less than a year old and new not reman, i put in all new motorcraft harneses and glow plugs at the same time. motocraft IPR has 60k on it but i've ordered another anyway. Today after swapping in a new PCM i found the misfire issue only exists when the P1748 code has been cleared. Is the converter trying to lock and unlock while the engine is rev'd? I've never seen anything like it
