Dead battery

The Deltran battery tender is pretty well regarded. It's been so successful that the brand name is now pretty used for all devices of that type. The Noco and CTEK are also excellent. For storage and maintenance, any of the lower amperage models work well and you can just buy whichever you can find for a good deal. It's handy to have a mid-to-high amperage model if you might have to charge RV batteries or anything that is deeply depleted.
I am a bit of a charger junkie. I have one of the Deltran Battery Tender Jr models (0.75A), a Noco 7200 (7.2A) as well as a MotoMaster Nautilus 15A. For storage, the 0.75A is totally sufficient on any of my vehicles. I don't think you need to be like me and own a whole pile of chargers. Once you have a decent one, that should be fine for anyone.

I have the CTEK. It's been good.
I put the quick connect on my battery to make it easy to connect/disconnect. However, I did NOT run it through the grill. The reason is that I want the hood open. That way the truck warns me that the hood is open and that's my reminder to disconnect the battery tender.
