anybody use a battery buddy atuomatic disconnect switch?

The Battery Buddy is a device you hook up to the battery, and it cuts the connection between the battery and rest of truck if something starts to drain the battery (dome light left on). My problem is that the battery buddy keeps kicking in when the truck sits for more than a few days. The battery is new and fully charged, the terminals are clean, and before I installed the battery buddy the battery did not seem to be losing a charge. I'd really like to use this device, but it really shouldn't kick in after only sitting for 3 days. Any help is appreciated.

Never used that brand. Prority Start is what we use at my shop. If its shutting down the battery is reaching the voltage of its cut off point. Put a volt meter on the battery and see what you get. The Prority Start units shut off around 11.7 volts.

I use a battery tender instead to keep the batteries charged. our excursions have an "auto off" built into the gem module that shuts off any lights or accessories that are left on.
