So I had a new clutch, slave sylander, resivior, throw out bearing , done had it reblead 4 different times and it still seemed to not work properly. Then I replaced the clutch and brAke assembly. After I did thAt it was like anew truck. Just wanted to put that out there. I've seen alot of people haveing issues. Thought I'd throw my experience out there
Is the clutch stiff? Loose? Could it not have been properly bled?
The clutch is perfect now. It's easy to push In and releases with slight pressure. I was just sharing what j went through to get to the bottom of this he clutch problems. I see alot of people struggling with this. All over the internet
I think the slave cylinder plays a big role in how the clutch feels too. I recently had a ZF-42 with a brand new luk slave. The clutch was nice and easy to push in, reminded me more of a car really. Lost reverse in that tranny and put a zf-47 in its place with a brand new car quest slave. It is no where near as nice as the luk felt. It's much stiffer. More like what I'm used too in a truck.
I would certainly agree that every part of the clutch system plays a role in this, I was just shocked at the difference with just a different brand slave.
I wondered about that. I know my old clutch went down easy and came back easy. It wasn't skipping yet but the throw out was going. It made alot of noise with the clutch pushed in. Those plastic bushings on my pedal assembly was shot too. It had a little play in it. But that little bit made a huge difference. I'm thinking about rebuilding the old one and maybe selling.
