looking for options on installing a small fire extinguisher.
not sure if the summer heat would cause the bottle to rupture if I keep it in the CAB...
another option might be under drivers side step near the mud flap. pro is no heat issue and out of the way....con is one could argue functionality question as its exposed to the environment and possibility of it getting stolen and being sold for crack money.
Keep mine in the center console, mostly because I haven't bothered looking for a place to mount it. It rode in my F150's console for 5 years without issue. Inside the cab storage is presumably not an issue as I have done that for over 20 years.
Thats what I was going to suggest, fabricating a bracket to the passenger seat rail attachment points.
If someone sells one pre-made, thats even better.

Anyone ever mount a quick release to a magnum rack? I suppose there’s a theft risk but I’ve always liked a fire extinguisher to be obviously located to anyone working with me...
