Steering Arm

I’ve got a low pinion D44 from a 1976 F250 that the previous owner installed. The tag says D6TA-AME, Dana# 603783-2. The steering arm on it is apparently a Chevy arm and strikes the shock when turned to the right. I bought an arm off eBay that supposedly came from a 1978 Ford F-250, but when it’s mocked in place seems to hit the leaf spring pack. This is the big horseshoe shaped arm that mounts onto the top of the driver side flat top knuckle and is held in place by three bolts.

Does anyone know if the casting numbers on these arms actually identifies them as pertaining to a particular axle? The other arms I’ve seen on here and on eBay look like they start with an F. The one I bought starts with either a G or a 6. I can’t find any kind of cross reference on the Dana literature that shows the casting numbers, only the steering arm part number and can’t find anything in the Ford Parts Catalog. The ford illustrations don’t seem to show this particular style of steering from what I can see. Thanks for the help.

The other arms I’ve seen on here and on eBay look like they start with an F (1990). The one I bought starts with either a G or a 6 (not FoMoCo related).

If the steering works ok I think I would just make up some new brackets and move the shock.
