I am looking to put some on my 73 Econoline, I want some like what you posted, the universal, I just don't know if they'll look good as the rear is squared off.
JWA,
Did you ever get a chance to try these flaps out??
I did not---too many other things to finish before I can put the van on the road. I have a cheap set I intended to modify to fit but just never got around to it. Every time I see them I wonder to myself how difficult they will be to get to fit correctly.
If I get to this anytime soon I will update this thread--sorry its taking so dang long.
I understand COMPLETELY!
I went backwards on my rig and am still trying to move forward as other projects keep taking priority.
Thanks for posting back.

I finally got around to making running boards for my new-to-me E350 extended body---ordered the Husky Liners 56331's from Amazon, paid $39.74 with added taxes. I hope to have the left side installed up front within the next few days. I will document and photograph the process and end result.
I'll get to the rears sometime down the road, right side will have to wait until weather breaks and I can get after the right side. That'll be a bit more involved since that side is pretty much a wheel-to-wheel install--have yet to assemble the parts I need for my DIY running boards.
I will indeed stay tuned!
When I tried the ones I had, I could in no way figure out how to hold them in place and drill the holes.
They didn't seem to want to hang flat, at a 90deg with the body....
Imagine my shock when opening the Husky Liners only to find they'd shipped me the wrong ones. I ordered their number 56331 (shown above) and received 56341 fitting a Chevy of some sort.
I've sent them a message through Amazon so should receive a reply either soon or come Monday. If the weather breaks again tomorrow I'll fiddle with the cheap ones received from Amazon a few months back.
Good grief this just gets more and more complicated.
Doesn't seem to make much sense that WeatherTech doesn't make them to fit these Vans... what are there - about 2 trillion of them made - and most still on the roads

I've never understood that very deliberate lack of availability of many, many aftermarket things for the E-Series. I've spoken to a few manufacturers and they say since there's no desire they don't invest in making things. I counter by saying IF they made things and promoted them as available chances are they'd have good sales.
Perhaps the Transit's will fare better but since I'll probably never own one that's little comfort.
