I finally got around to replacing all 8 glow plugs on my 01.Excursion
and both uvch's. Went to start truck and the wife says she heard a sizzle sound. Truck started fine but now has codes P0672 P0674 P0676 P0678 and also P0344. Any idea what would cause this?
I had codes for 7 of them. The original driver's side harness turned out to be shorted out. I don't know what the sound was as I didn't hear it but I guess it is possible that the new harness got pinched when I put the valve cover back on. It's strange that the new codes are all one side.
So I went out and changed the CPS(it was acting up anyway, time to get a new one for the glove box). I checked the codes to see what was still there and now there are no codes at all. I started it several times and still no codes. I didn't disconnect the battery or clear them from before. I guess I should be happy but I'm confused as to how the codes would just disappear.
