Both my 2017 and 2019 CCSB Diesels got the same MPG. The 2017 had a 3.55 axle and the 2019 has a 3.31 axle, both with 18" tires.
Suburban roads, 45 MPH WITH RED LIGHTS = 15 MPG
Steady Highway speeds at 65 MPH 20-21 MPG
Towing my 14,000 lb 5th wheel at 65 MPH 10.5-11.0 MPG
Looked today and MPG on the trip meter which hasn't been reset and it was 16.7 MPG for the 5000 miles so far on my 2019 6.7. Towed about 15% of the time.
THE ONLY TIME IS SEE MPG GO DOWN IS WHEN IT'S IN A REGEN. THEN IT WILL GO DOWN TO 11-12 MPG ON THE HIGHWAY AT 665 MPH FOR OVER 15 MINUTES.
With country roads and freeways, that seems a bit low.
2019 6.7 Powerstroke 1300 miles
90-95% city driving with a lot of stop and go traffic I'm seeing 14.5 MPG max before regen (Lie-O-Meter). Interstates at 70-75 MPH, my vehicle can easily hit 18 (Lie-O-Meter). If you do take it the dealer, please let me know what the dealer did to try to fix the MPG.
One more thing to note, try Ford's PM-22 diesel additive to see if it helps. I started using it and with 100 miles, I've noticed that the MPG on the Lie-O-Meter went up 1 MPG and that when regening, the DPF% screen goes down faster.
I'm at 13.1 for the life of the truck. 8000 miles total, about 2000 of that towing. The non towing miles are probably 1/3 city and 2/3 highway. I'm not disappointed, but I expected to do a little better than that.
6.7 ‘19 CCSB KR with BLIS, Adaptive Cruise, power folding boards, the 360 camera, Quad beam LED, blah blah blah.
4768 miles and total combined avg of 18.1 mpg. I don’t smash it, when I two, it’s a 27ft Airstream (so not really that heavy). I’ve done about 50/50 highways and city, but again, I have a light foot and only nail if I’m passing someone, merging onto highway, etc.

I know that feeling. I might have gotten a little too hyped up from reading comments on Youtube from people talking about how the awesome the MPG is on their truck. The first time I filled up, I resetted my Trip B to get an idea of MPG around town, I also had a panic attack when it showed 13.8 . I definitely thought this thing would get high 15 to 16 easy in the city. Still an awesome truck to drive either way.
So is the average MPG about 13 for these trucks? I know I had way better mileage with my 06 Dodge, 05 Duramax and both my 7.3 power strokes. I haven't hand calculate my mileage yet and I think I might have to to get this figured out. Anyone hand calculated and it was higher than the "guestimater"?
You mean your pre-emissions trucks? The ones without EGR, DPF and SCR? Sounds about right. That doesn't exist anymore for any brand.
Your mileage sounds about right compared to my 2017 6.7. They don't have the advantages over the gas they used too.
We just did 500 miles today at 75-85mph, completely unloaded. Showing 16.5 on the LOM. We do about 12 around town. 2017 CC SRW FX4 6.7
12-14 MPG is pretty normal for me. I drive a lot of city/stop and go driving, and have 37" tires, but before I upgraded to the larger tires I was really consistent on 13.1 MPG. Again, I drive 90% city streets and in my business, I make 20-30 stops per day.
Ok my 2017 6.7, DRW CCLB i'm at 14K miles (yeah thats all) and I'm getting 15-15.9 in the city staying off the "Go" pedal, actual numbers. The dash gauge is surprisingly accurate on mine. I can get 17 mpg on the highway doing the speed limit. Unloaded of course.
Before I traded my 2015 6.7l my lifetime average was 12.4mpg, my 6.0l was 18.0mpg. What I did find was that my 2015 was sensitive to fuel quality, even using the same additive at some stations my mileage was lower, my truck seemed to prefer two particular local stations over others, never understood why since they probably pull from the same sources but according to Fuelly there was a definitive difference in mileage of 1-1.5mpg’s per tank. I also never got the mileage everyone else claimed & it was part of the reason why I was comfortable switching to a gas truck. The new 6.2l has the same average (12.5mpg) as the old diesel.
Wow the numbers that you guys are throwing out are all over the board. Some are getting 15+ and others are in my boat. I have 14K on my truck right now and I usually fill up at Fred Meyers because they go through so much fuel, I figured that would keep the water content low. I did have a regen yesterday but it didn't change the calculation as far as I can tell. I'm going to have to dive deeper into this situation. I forgot to mention I'm mostly unloaded and haven't towed anything yet. I think I'll reset my meter and take it easy, see if that makes a difference.
I've had the truck for about 2 months and I remember it being about 17 MPG when I drove it off the lot. Since then it has gone steadily down and is now about 13 MPG consistently. I admit I had my foot on it quite a bit in the first month but now I'm trying to be easy on the throttle and it's still about 13 MPG and that is mostly country roads and freeways. If I watch the economy gauge in the dash it even shows about 13 with moderate to low throttle. I still have the stock tires and it is a Canadian model but I thought that shouldn't matter. What do you guys think and what type of mileage are you getting?
Reset the MPG gauge, drive easy as you mentioned, and see if you MPG‘s will improve.
