Hello everyone, I did a search of this forum for floor pans and all that came up was years old. Has any vendor started reproducing any matching floor sheet metal that doesn't cost a small fortune for what may or may not match? The ones I have seen for sale don't look the same as the original sheet metal or was just a drawn picture in the LMC catalog. I don't need to replace the whole floor pan of either side so I will probably end up just fabbing my own pieces. I redid a 1946 1 1/2 ton dump back in the early 2010s and right after I got it finished a bunch of vendors started offering the sheet metal I needed that wasn't available when I needed it.
What is it with this generation of Fords that seems so abundant that no one is making all the sheet metal? every other generation seems to have most everything available now.
Thanks.
None advertised will match the original. I bought front and rears and used pieces of the passenger side to repair mine. I had to run new beads to blend with the original. Plus the metal is lousy to work with in my opinion.
I will make someone a deal on the driver front and both rears purchased on Ebay.
As much as we may like the fridges, after market parts are based on demand. These are the least liked models compared to others. Low demand equals low profit.
