I've had my DP tuner on my truck for a couple of years now & I'm generally happy with the tunes, I love the deceleration tune for long down grades, I'm looking to the future & when time & money allow I'll probably upgrade the turbo & possibly better sticks, this will almost certainly be the time to go to the Hydra platform. So who else does a decel tune? I know that Tugly has one that was provided by Cleatus but I've not heard anyone else mention anything other than the DP tune.
I have the DP decal tune and use it at times in the WV mountains where my cabin is. I'm saving my quarters for the setup Sous has and will loose that capability. Does anyone know if, for example the Banks Brake works with that setup? Maybe a butterfly in the down pipe, just spit balling.
Right off the top of my head, I came up with these tuners for the Hydra... Perhaps a decel tune could be created easily by one of the tuners listed below with a bit of back and forth discussion with clear guidelines as to what you are looking for in the tune.
Swamps, Andrew Aurther, Full Force Diesel, 1023, Jelibuilt, SDK, Tony Wildman, Gear Head, Beans and PHP.

I'm sure that they probably could, I just find it strange that no one other than DP offer one as an "off the shelf" tune. It would actually be nice if it worked off a combination of TPS reading zero & brake lamp switch closed when in a tow tune rather than having to toggle between the deceleration tune & the tune you are running, as it works from DP you have to momentarily shift attention from driving to switch tune at the end of a downgrade which is not ideal.

Boy howdy! That's my only problem with the tune, but it is a big one. Stretches of road with curves combined with big elevation changes you really want to keep your eyes on the road, not glancing over to the switcher. Wish I could integrate the switcher into the steering wheel.
Probably because Ford had a write up years back to not do this. Some buddy posted it here years back, but Jody did it and so did Bill play with it at PHP, but never made one I guess for the same reason. Like been mentioned, weak valve springs I guess. I have Jody's and it has worked great till this last trip out. I changed convertor and put in a new sensor and tube, just seems weak now. Maybe it's the convertor I don't no. But it still helps. My John Woods trans went out and he was know help so I had some buddy else do the work. Same internals, just don't lock up like it did.
