So I ordered the upper and lower hot side cac boots from riff raff to replace my old ones, because my lower boot was oil covered. Once I got them off I could not find any visible signs of a crack or hole and the lower boot had rtv glue on it where it connects to the metal tube. I also noticed the old boots had ridges in them so they would match up to the grooves on the metal tube. My new riff raff boots did not have these ridges. I cant help but feel that these are going to leak.
No you won't have any issues with them. Just make sure you tighten down the clamps sufficiently. The turbo outlet boot had a rib to the pipe, but we have purposely excluded it from the lower boot for a better fit and there is no loss of retention. If you need anything just let us know.

Install them per instructions and no worries. I have thousands of miles on a full set. CCV reroute will help by getting the oil vapor out of the intake.
I had the same concern. I emailed RiffRaff because I read conflicting reports on wheather they had internal ridges. I was told ridges were in the boots. Mine only had a ridge for the lower one, the turbo did not. I was disappointed, but given FTE members I trust use them I decided to give their boots a try instead of returning them. Like Rusty says get everything spotlessly clean. I used brake parts cleaner and hairspray (probalbly a plecebo) on all mating surfaces (This has worked well with me even reusing old stock boots). No problems so far.
I have been using Riffraff boots on my 7.3L and 6.0L over the years and don't have any issues. You will be very happy with the quality I am sure as I have had one set on for almost 8 years with no issues.
