So my Excursion didn't start this morning, I have a code for cam sensor and I'm not getting FICM sync. During crank, I have RPM on my forscan but not on the gauge cluster, not sure what that means.
Our 6.0 had similar issues. Ultimately ended up replacing cam sensor and the pigtail. Shielding with foil. That helped, no new issues since that repair.

I ended up unplugging it and then plugging back in. Also found someone had replaced the pigtail at some point so I replaced those connections. Also replaced FICM relay. Tried to start it and it fired right up, so I don't know which fixed it. I did plug the original relay in and tried starting again and it fired up. I put the new one back in though and just kept the old one as a spare.
I"ll just have to keep an eye on the harness and plug in case this happens again.
Keep your fingers crossed. We initially replaced the cam sensor, and everything worked fine for about a month. Then symptoms reappeared. Then replaced the pigtail. Two years now without issue.
