No Start

I have a 1997 F250 powerstroke it stalled and won't start. Any ideas?

Hi ginman and welcome to FTE

I'm going to move your question over to the diesel forum.
Chances are pretty good that your Camshaft Position Sensor has died and will have to be replaced.

Yup! That's what mine did. Just crank and crank and crank, but no start.

Replaced cam sensor still doesn't start. anymore ideas

Is it warm where you are?? I know I had the Glow Plug relay go bad on mine and it wouldn't start in the mornings but was ok once it warmed up outside.

Yes it's hot here. I live in southeast New Mexico.Ihave plugged it in,still no start.The wait to start light only stays on about 5 seconds.

No Start

Does it smoke while you're trying to start it? I'm guessing not. The only thing it can be is a fuel issue. You are not getting fuel to the injectors or the injectors aren't working. I'm not a diesel tech but I'd find a way (maybe someone more knowledgable than me will tell you how) to find out if I have any fuel pressure at the injectors. If so maybe the high pressure oil pump?? If not maybe the fuel pump??

Sounds like maybe a trip to the stealer (Dealer)
