I was recently having issues with my clutch pedal assembly.
I decided it was time to buy a new one as this one has 320k on it.
Upon further inspection the brand new (1 year old, 15k) clutch pedal to master cylinder rod bushing has failed. Anyone have any suggestions for a new one? Seems like these POS don’t last very long. Not too interested in the heim joint mod. Thanks in advance.
Hukkos, ive been down this road WAY too many times. Ive rewelded the peg with a countersunk hole for the weld to grab more. Problem is, you can inly weld one side. Even used a TIG and still broke 2mon later. Its whenbi decided to do my, what Sous referred is the CTM lol..
3yrs and smooth as buttah.
Parts are under the Knoob bolt listing thread. If a McFadden Dale was around, id send you out the parts. 5 bucks atmost.
That doesn't look good. What does the plastic bushing at the top of the pedal look like? When my pedal started to go, it was the plastic bushing up top that had worn out and let the pedal bind a bit while in action. Perhaps that's what wore out your bottom pin so fast.
That or the wonderful chinese metal they use on so much stuff now.

So you just drilled out the post and used the hardware described? How’s the actuation? Nice and smooth??

The top one was kinda screwed up.
Definitely wasn't a circle anymore, more like an ellipse.
Gonna try a new bushing again and around December, if its looking like ***** again, im going to do the CTM method.

Its not even a thought anymore, Luuko.
If you didnt know it, you'd think its still a factory setup.
Yes..break the post off, and thread in the bolt til flush. Install nylon nut for good measure on other side...no rod to cut and heim to "measure" for proper adjustment/length.
That shoulder bolt has an O.D. that is, if your lucky when installed to the master rod, a c@#t-hair could barely fit...
