Warranty does no good anyway when Ford has known about these issues for years and done nothing.
I’d rather not have mold growth under my carpet. Or electrical problems.
Ford is definitely not what they use to be. Sadly.
Ford quality is not what it used to be. I was walking lot at dealership and the fitment of doors are very sad. Then I walked the dodge lot and there was not fitment issues on any of them.
Stuck in a hard place. Stay or Jump ship and try something new.

It is disappointing to see lack of refinement on these trucks. Some would say it's not the majority, that the problems get magnified on forums like this. Like you, I have walked the Ford lots and things like poor fitment seem to be more common than not. I'm just getting started on my super duty ownership and fortunately haven't yet experienced too many negatives. The things I have noticed, door alignment and interior creaks and rattles, should not be on any new vehicle, and that much more disappointing on such a high $ vehicle.
Now that I've got that out, it's still a bad *** truck and I hope for more enjoyment than disappointment.
My supervisors 2018 Silverado 1500 does this exact same thing fills up with water, GM isn't being much help its been in 4 times for the issue and not fixed. At least they give him a nice truck as a loaner.
On the back of the cab of these trucks are 2 vent panels. If the they are not installed the right way the water enters and travels to the area at the side of the truck and goes to the front. The area fills with water, carpet get wet and looks just like the pictures. This happened to my truck & my dealer has been great with the repair.

Reason: misspelled word

Can they be seen with the bed on? I haven't looked too close, I've noticed some foam/felt pads on the back of the cab.
They can be seen below the foam, look close they are about the size of a pice of loose leaf paper, 1 on each side of the rear of the cab closer to the bottom of the cab. My dealer did the vapor barriers first, when that did not work he did the vent panel on the passenger side & all is good. My leak was only on the passenger side of the truck.
Same issue with water leaking from what appears is the bottom of the door panel drivers side rear door only. Water is sitting on the sill and leaking under the sill plate into the trough and area next to the plastic trough which is a cavity area. The pictures show the two slits next to the carpet where this cavity is. I could feed paper towels into these slits with a small screwdriver to soak up the water after soaking up all the water around the wiring harness. Calling the dealer... 1700 miles on the truck, how the heck do these trucks make it past a ‘quality’ inspection!
@MPSoC I read your thread and that is horrible! I really hope they took care of you with that much water infiltrating the cab. In my case the dealer returned the truck to me today, the picture they showed me with the door panel off showed the butyl twisted on the weather shield allowing water in through the inside of the door panel. Luckily the water was contained in the trough under the sill plate. Identical issue the OP had here. I’m glad he posted his issue here and when I told the dealer body shop the issue was identical to this post they actually listened to me and began troubleshooting at the door.
My 2019 had water in the same places and the solution was for dealer to put more "gum-gum" (that's what they called it) on the small vapor barrier plastic pieces under the door skins. When I changed out the door speakers I saw that these vapor barriers were 7-8" diameter circular plastic shields. Always amazes me that water is supposed to travel inside the doors!
