Ignition Control Module
Blue module introduced in 1976 was used well into the 1990's. DuraSpark ignition modules identified by a colored plastic insert located above where the wires feed out. D4AZ-12A199-C 1974 only. Redmodule is D7AZ-12A199-Aused in some CA vehicles ONLY.
D9AZ-12A199-C(replaced D8AZ-12A199-A). One of these modules isyellow, one is brown.
These modules were used in 1978/79 302 & 351M/W vehicles sold in high altitudes only. 351W: Passenger Cars & Econolines only.

1976/90's myriad FoMoCo vehicles.
Plugs are the same color wires but orientation is different white, orange, purple, black, red, green on my original Does this matter?

I'd look for an original...this is the most common part number, there may be more on ebay.

KAMA OBSOLETE PARTS in East Bethel MN has 1 = 763-434-0123.
MUSTANG'S ETC in Van Nuys CA has 1 = 818-787-7634 (this may be an auto parts store replacement).
oh and slight thread hijack, where can you get the harness plug that plugs into that module?
Mine is on it's last days with wire exposed. I see rock auto has them as well but they appear to be for the module side, I couldn't tell really.
Wire orientation does not matter it is the same unit. Ford has revised or should I say Airtexx/Wells ( Current OEM supplier) has revised the PCB many times
