Adaptive cruise/ACC

I have ordered all of the parts to do this upgrade and was curious where everyone found the location for the parts to be installed. Most are pretty self explanatory. Does the bumper have to be removed and if so how? I guess that is the main thing I am concerned with. The 3 nuts and deflector are on back-order till the end of the month so I have some time to plan.

Thanks

Can you list part numbers and approximate total cost?

Orion1968 - very nice documentation on this. I have ACC, but many will thank you for this. Rep added.

I got everything installed and programmed like above. Ran the CCM calibration but am having an issue. It turns on fine but the first time it has to auto brake it disables the auto feature. Also not included in the above instructions is that once you have everything setup, you need to go into the settings menu on the dash an enable the auto feature. I have the Diesel and I believe the others who have reported success many have different code for some of the line items.

I'm in exactly the same spot as you...installed last week, I've checked my Forscan values three times and they all match...Hopefully someone knows!

Yup! Seems to be very similar to the problem a couple others were having...not sure if it's related to the SECM or ABS interaction.

Thinking Brandon12686 holds the answer..

So based on another posted solution I tried the following.

1. SCCM 724-02-01 xxx2 xxxx - A 2017 F350 Plantinum that has ACC has a 4 in that spot instead of a 2
2. IPC 720-01-02 xxxx 7x - 7 specifies a Flex Fuel vehicle, where i have a Diesel which should be a 5

Before the changes I get
Code: U0401 - Invalid Data Received From ECM/PCM

Additional Fault Symptom:
- Signal Invalid

Status:
- DTC Present at Time of Request
- Malfunction Indicator Lamp is On for this DTC

Module: Cruise-Control Module

Freeze Frame :
-GLOBTIM: 42430824 sec - Global real time
-IFC_D703: 32768 - Internal Module Fail Code

With both changes I get a 2nd code. But returning the SCCM to 2 I only get the above DTC after it tries to apply the brake.

FYI , Did the same upgrade, added ACC resulted in the same errors. Reviewed different trucks windows stickers to find the trucks that matched the features I have + ACC. Downloaded the identified VIN's as-built data for each truck. Ran the as-built through the as-built compare utility. The two changes you identified above appear to be correct for 6.7L plus one more your missing

CCM
764-01-01
0918
0101
0292

Should be: (9 should be an A)
0A18
0101
0292

Have not tested yet, left my laptop at work, so I'll setup on another and test shortly. Let me know if you bet me too it...

Made the change, still get the 401 code, but only one code. However now there is little car icon with brake lights that appears in the ACC area on the dash just above where the gray bars used to represent the spacing for ACC.

I'll review byte by byte when I get a chance to see if there is anything else.

1. Does any know the torque for the lock nuts used to hold the ACC module?

2. Also does anyone have the vertical alignment procedure, I set the sensor to level.

3. Part number for the cover for the sensor?

Found another change that is missing, every truck with ACC has this set in it's as-built. However still have the 401 error, will keep looking.

I really wish the adaptive cruise would bring the truck to a complete stop and then start up again. It's useless in stop and go traffic where I really like to use it on my Volvo.

Did you re-calibrate the CCM after the change? I have the car with brake lights with out your changes but only when I get in the range of the car in front. Depends on how you have the distance setup. I will try these changes when I get home tonight.
