I have a 1988 Ford f250 with the 5.8 engine. Does anyone know what the circled thing in the left is called? Where does the hose go to? Also where do the lines for the vacuum tree go to?
The circled thing on the left operates the blend door for fresh air in the cab...and for closing it when you go to MAX AC. I am unsure on the vacuum tree.
Unplug the vacuum line that supplies the tree and you will find out in short order what it provides vacuum to, as things will return to the default position.
