ON Road Tire Recommended

I spend 99% of my time ON the road. The few times I'm off-road are usually on hard packed dirt or nominal mud.

Therefore I'm looking for a good long mileage tire for normal driving, a trailer a time or two a month, but ready for the 5-6 times a year I actually MIGHT engage 4x4

Whats your best recommendation for a city slicker tire?

Guys swear by the Michelin LTX M/S2 for a good highway tire that occasionally sees the dirt.

The Nitto DuraGrappler looks interesting too.

Good luck.

These would be my top two choices.

But there are Lots of good tire choices for 99% on road riding. I have about 60,000 miles on a set of transforce ht tires on my work truck. They track down the road nice and never left me stuck or stranded. They do throw lots of stones when new though. But so did the Michelin m/s 2's I had on my last truck.

My MS2 on my f150s are like riding on a cloud.

In that case I'd go with Toyo H/T 2, or failing that Bridgestone Dueler AT3. (Yes AT, but such a mild AT)

Michelin Defender LTX, which replaced the Michelin M/S.

There is no other tire if your looking for street performance, smooth quite ride, correct size and load capacity for these trucks and miles and miles of wear.

By the way they also perform quite well in snow.

The stock Michelins that come on the FX4 trucks work well on paved roads. I don't like them in deep snow or mud. But they are fine on pavement,

I'm well into a set of the Nitto Dura Grapplers, they are the quietest truck tire I have ever used and are wearing very well on our dedicated tow rig EX.

My '17 F350 DRW came with the Michelin AT2's. Great hwy tire with hardly any noise and a smooth ride for 10 ply tires. Only 23K miles on them and look like they can make 40K more.
