See post 42, there is no forward mounted auxiliary cooler. Only trucks to get them are the Raptor this is confirmed in the order guides and two max tow HPP trucks in my driveway. This is why I asked for a part number or picture of the coolers on 17 trucks. Ford has no part numbers for the non raptor trucks available. The package heat exchanger under the transmission is the norm these days. There is one possible match for the 17 but its listed as discontinued and contact hotline for repair substitution if replacement is needed. This also has no picture so if anyone has a forward mounted auxiliary cooler on a non raptor f150 take some pictures.
Package heat exchanger 2018 F150 max tow HDPP
Further deep digging reveals HL3Z-7A095-A was the cooler used and mounted to the front for trucks built up until 7/2017. Still continues to be used on SSV with 6r80 and Raptor ( Shown as Phantom in the service guide). The new package cooler Ford uses is JL3Z-7A095-A on the 10r80 from 7/2017 forward.
Awesome thanks for the pictures! Trying to decipher looks like a HL3P on the lines can't read the rest. Which would mean a 2016 component or a Job 1 2017 build. This component is not mentioned in any parts breakdown. At this point I am highly intrigued why Ford did this and then stopped. Also would like to know what their replacement plan is. So I am going to make a call to the hotline tomorrow and find out why these components were omitted after Job 2 on certain trucks. The other package cooler was also on 17 trucks with the 3.5 in particular HDPP Max Tow equipped trucks.
