Typical 10r80 cooler is shown behind the swaybar and under the bellhousing.

There is no fluid warmer that looks like that on a 10r80. The diagram you posted is for a 6r80 only as that is the only transmission that still has forward mounted cooler lines. The 3.5 EcoBoost is available with the 6r80 as a fleet only option and is on the order sheet as SSV. The 10r80 has engine coolant hoses that come down and connect to the plate heat exchanger.
Well the dealer just made a terrible mistake, the LV they used is not suitable for the 10r80. You think a dealership would be the one you could trust but seems like they are the worst when it comes to transmission fluid interchange.
I did go back and told them about their mistake and showed them the owners manual. I told them I wasn't driving the truck any farther with the wrong fluid in it. They were very apologetic and changed it right away. They even took me out and showed me the bottles before they filled their machine with them. I test drove it a little bit and the temps are lots better. They get up to 204 then go back to 201-199. I can't tell you guys how much I appreciate your advice. I've never been really loyal to any brand of vehicle, I have some I won't drive... (chevy tops the list) LOL But I am beginning to like the forum here. I may have to make a commitment.
It's kind of sad how many times we hear of incompetent dealers. When the EcoBoosts came out there were many reports of 5w20 oil being put in by dealers, even when the spec was changed to 5w30. I'm sure it still happens to this day.
Glad you got the transmission sorted out. I doubt any damage was done to it with such a short run of that fluid, but now you have it documented in the event that some does go wrong.
Please be aware that the 2017 trailer tow pkg on the 3.5 eco boost includes a plate type transmission aux cooler located in front of the radiator.
Do you have a picture of this? There was literature but Ford revised it and removed the Aux cooler from the literature. The 10r80 didn't receive any front mounted auxiliary cooler. The 6r80 did and still does and so do trucks with the 3.5 and SSV package that use the 6r80 instead of the 10r80.

The 2019 configuration still lists an aux transmission oil cooler as part of the Trailer tow pkg. This is for the 3.5 eco boost with the 10 speed transmission. My 2017 has one because that’s the only reason I ordered the TT pkg.
Would be nice to have some pictures especially of the engineering part number on the cooler on your 17. Ford has removed any language of a auxiliary cooler and none are listed for any 10r80 trucks. The only trucks that do get them are SSV trucks with the 3.5 and 6r80 combo. Take a look under any 10r80 truck even trucks with HDPP and Max Tow and you will not find a front mounted cooler

In this case it was an incompetent tech, or at least poorly trained. Doesn't exactly take the dealer completely off the hook, but it does temper the impression a bit.
Look under the Trailer Tow pkg, not the Max Trailer Tow pkg I just saw it listed tonight
It shouldn't be listed, Ford made this pretty clear in early 18 when they revised it and even did a fleet supplement in 17 about the issue. Early 2018 guide with auxiliary cooler mentioned Auxiliary cooler removed Auxiliary cooler unavailable with any tow package, except standard on raptor. Auxiliary cooler for standard non raptor available for 6r80 only SSV with 3.5 or base 3.3
If you look at the Ford.com website and configure a 2019 3.5 eco. & 10 speed tranny with either the TT pkg or the MTT pkg you will get an aux transmission oil cooler. I don’t know where all of this confusion comes from. I have a 2017 3.5 eco with 10 speed tranny and an aux transmission oil cooler as part of the TT pkg. seems like the aux transmission oil cooler has been and is available at this time
