Dropped Piston

So I was putting the pistons on new rods and I accidentally dropped a piston on the concrete floor. Now it’s got just a little dent at the very top of the piston. Is it still usable or is it trash!

It could be used, but unless it's a beater build or the budget is super tight I'd want to replace it.

Are pistons weight matched to each other somehow? Can you just change one and keep it balanced?

No worries about weight. They're close enough for a stock sub-3300 RPM engine.

I appreciate it fellers! You all pretty much confirmed my thoughts. This is a one time build, so I want to make sure I do it right the first time.

You dang sure don't want to pull it apart again just because of a damaged piston. If pieces of that come apart it might damage a cylinder wall the second time around.

UPS says Monday delivery. Sorry for the delay in your build but I couldn't bear to see you risk an engine failure due to a damaged piston. These things have a hard enough time staying together because of cracks or broken rings as it is.
