Totally confused went and picked up a new radiator cap at a hundred fifty thousand miles for a 2017 6.7 the truck originally had on there 145 kPa with 21 PSI the new one that they gave me says 110 kPa 16 PSI which one should I use I'm going to leave the original 145k PA on the truck why would they change it? All opinions welcome take care
Okay thanks but that doesn't answer my question that number I gave you is what's on the truck now the one they're giving me is a lot less pressure can somebody with a 2017 tell me what part number they have on their vehicle that part number I gave above is what's on my truck now for the last hundred and fifty thousand miles thanks again
Wow thanks for taking the time and looking that's very interesting this maybe explains why some trucks are eating radiators I wonder why mine has the higher pressure doesn't make any sense thanks again take care
Might be best to hold off, I'm no Ford parts guy, but if it had a 21 psi cap on it, I'd put a 21 psi cap back on it. It's quite possible that the newer ones have higher rated caps on them for a reason.
I agree but according to my dealer that's the new part number for all trucks I'm scratching my head perhaps I'll put the old one back on too funny what's on your truck anyone else out there take a look for me please

My 2014 has a 16 psi, as does my 2016 however after looking up on rockauto they offer both caps under different names, but I found this part number under the second place I decided to look. https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/...iator+cap,2068
Thank you for looking that up I'll try calling ford tomorrow or getting a hold of another dealership mine sort of useless LOL I'll put the same back on there must be some reason for it . My friend 2019 6.7 has the smaller pressure radiator cap this is too funny thanks again take care
