Degas bottle cap

Is it normal for the cap to release pressure when the truck is cooling down? My truck was off for about an hour and noticed this while doing some work on the truck. There wasn't much pressure in the cooling system. I could undo the cap and very little pressure was there. I've never noticed this before.

It should as it is in essence your radiator cap.
