i have a f-250 sd 4x4 lariat crew cab i bought a set of headlamp that was surpose to be the real blue lamps like the ones on the bmw's from pep boys but was wrong i'm looking for part # or were to get them

Not for nothin, but the blue just doesn't look right on a truck... it's a ricer thing. Go with Sylvania Silver Starts or PIAA Extreme White bulbs if you're looking for more visibility. If you want blue, then may I suggest spray paint?
What your probably lookin for is a Xenon gas headlight ... I think ... anyhow that's the type of headlight that is usually on the euros. Search the net or ebay and I'm sure you'll find something ... and haroutd is right ... that is more of a ricer thing ... but to each his own ... good luck.
The headlights I'm guessing that you're looking for aren't actually blue ... they're clear but they are filled with Xenon gas. There are conversion kits for superduty's rather expensive for a mediocre effect (in my opinion anyway). Reason they're expensive is they need a higher voltage to ignite the xenon gas. Most people just change the stock bulbs to a halogen bulb (sometimes blue) and are satisfied with that effect. To each his own when changing out the bulbs etc. just be aware that there is a possibility of burning out your socket with aftermarket bulbs if you get the wrong wattage rating.
Try the Sylvania's. They are nice and bright. You won't get the "ricer" effect but things look much "whiter". A definite improvement over the stock bulbs.
The higher voltage ones are called HID (high intensity discharge). And will run about $400 to convert. The kit actually exchanges your whole assembly with a new one. My dealer sells them...

Yes, but HID is a light blue white light -- but not what rubberhead seems to be asking for. The blued-out headlight look, which is basically an "effects" thing that doesn't have any improvement on visibility. These blue lights became popular when people thought they were the "bright as daylight" alternative to factory bulbs (lots of marketing, no true facts). Then as HID evolved, and kelvin ratings on bulbs were applied, the true HID and higher light shedding bulbs seperated themselves from the pack... what was left was the slight blue hint (barely noticeable, but still there) of lights that approach the HID spectrum & Xenon, and conversely the true-blue lights that are basically useless in increasing visiblity, but ricers think look "cool". Never thought I'd be discussing this in the Super Duty forum, though.
I for one went with the PIAA Extreme White series. Closest thing you can get to HID on the Kelvin charts without making the jump to conversion kits. Light output is considerably more than stock. And, I have a very, very slight blue hint in the lights. The blue is more visible when I'm casting onto a pure white background, like onto snow piles. Enough that there is a visiblity improvement, bot nowhere near the level that wanna-be cool ricers get.
these are HID upgrades, and come with a sep starter and ballast, along with new bulbs. Def DIY. I got mine from Ricky at J $ R Electronics in Miami. I just fried a starter on the driver side, and have been runnig cool blue sylv bulbs in the interim. I feel like I'm blind. Do the upgrade, but remember there is no high beam. They are really bright. Spend a little time aiming your bulbs, or get used to the finger. Either way, you won;t look back. J $ R's number is 305 226-6866. Tell em Umbi or Mike sent you.
There are several kits on ebay (HID 9007) for around 300.00 Also I went with two different sets of lights. Made the mistake of getting some import blues ones cause they were the most expensive figured they were better. Anyway I ended up getting the PIAA extremes, and work very well. When the new truck comes in I would like to have the HID ones.
The Sylvania Silver Stars from Wally World really brightened it up on my 2001 SD and only took 10 minutes to install. However, the PIAA series 80 off-road lights (110w of daylight) are tied into my high beams via a relay and turn night into day. Pic in gallery.
