plug gap

i see they are saying between 44 an 55 thousands
new summit coil 40,000 v 8 mm wire 1996 f 250 5.8 i had the trk 10 plus years so a tune up is in order
what are the suggestions for my gap i did search for plug gap but no success

44 is what is recommended. I would start there. If you torque your plugs they should be between 10-15 ft. lbs Sandy

hi thats what i have seen i removed 1 plug today an it was at 52 thou
then i started reading on the gap an it was al over but i will try 44 thanks for the reply

I always check gap before I put in new plugs. They have been all over the place at times. Sandy

if you are saying your 10 year old plugs, gap was 52 thou, then yes, put new ones in it, and under hood on your vacuum line routing diagram, also has your emissions diagram and it tells you your gap setting, and plug # to get
