They give you points when you buy Ford stuff.. then use the points towards Ford parts/service. I got 75,000 points on the new purchase and using them (equivalent of $375) towards the purchase of the trailer TPMS system. They really want you to use it for service (biggest profit) but too bad.
I discovered Ford Pass when looking for my build status...registered and will earn some points buying a few accessories in the coming weeks before my truck's delivered.
So what's everybody doing with their points specifically if you have 75,000 from buying a diesel? What's the cost effective thing to do since Ford parts are mostly likely overpriced and paying for oil changes feels wrong?
I know it's one of the poorest developed apps ever chock full of failures. For 2018 SD owners we have to use it to check oil life. FordPass will go weeks at times without updating. Then as mentioned above will not recognize your truck. Outside of that not much.

Not everything at the dealership is overpriced. I buy my PM22 there because it's cheaper than online.
Mine works well. But, how do you get the points to show up? I ordered online, and picked up at dealer. I don't have any points showing up. I don't take it in for regular maintenance, I do it myself. But I suppose I could use the points towards the maintenance items.

In the lower right corner, go to Account (gear icon). Then click the "FordPass Rewards" box in the upper left. Eventually it will list your points. I have zero points since they weren't awarding points for buying a vehicle back in 2017.
Mine took a couple weeks to show up. You have to activate Ford Pass on your radio if you haven't done so already.
FWIW, I bought the SD hood protector already and will buy the side window reflectors next with my points.
I can change the oil myself, and Goodyear provides free tire rotation (f you got the GY Wranglers)
Lifetime Tire Rotation on new tire purchases of Goodyear, Dunlop, and Kelly products. Good for the life of the usable tire tread (2/32"). Present the warranty brochure provided by the dealer at time of purchase at any Tire & Service Network location for a free tire rotation every 6 months or 6,000 miles. (Vehicles requiring mounting or demounting of tires to perform rotation excluded.)
Do the rewards get subtracted from the balance instantly?
I just took my truck in for its first oil change, wanting to use the free oil changes (maintenance plan) the dealer I purchased from gave me, not my rewards. When they entered my VIN it showed more free changes than I expected but didnt specify if that was because of the rewards or my maintenance plan.
