Rear AC not working

She blows hot air. Fan speed control works, rear controls work, it just blows hot air. Could this be a blend door issue? Doesn’t the Ex have a separate condenser for the rear Ac?

Maybe. Can you vary the rear outlet temp from near ambient to HOT and back again as you change the setting? Need to distinguish between a "loss of A/C (cooling)" vs. "complete loss of temperature control, output stuck on one setting".

Non it has a separate evaporator for the rear unit's A/C. There's only one condenser up in front of the radiator.

No variation in air temperature at all. It stays Warm.

That does sound like an actuator.

Is the line going into the evaporator cold? Typical failure (screen gets clogged) is the rear expansion vale.

Based on his responses, his first problem is that he has zero control over the outlet air temp, even before considering the effect of refrigeration.

For the rear you have to remove the right rear panel.

. Is the compressor kicking on ? If no there is a switch near the compressor its a low presureswitch while the switch for ac is on keep the connector connected and wiggle the wire ends. Sometimes this works. Ac is1 big system has one of everything but blower motors and switches. The air is moved thru a duct in the ceiling.

I had the same issue. I replaced the rear expansion valve located behind the jack. It was like 30 bucks at autozone.

Another 40 bucks worth of refrigerant because the system opens up while replacing the valve. I replaced the orifice tube while the system was uncharged too.

Recharged it and rear blows cold again.
