Allison shift point ?

Allison shift point ?
I built up a 391 FT with I believe is a MT 41 6 speed. Would anyone know how I can lower RPM shift points?
As of now the TV rod isn't hooked up to the throttle cause I can't find the correct bell crank. The book is no
help because all it shows is adjusting the TV rod bell crank to the throttle which I don't have. Seems that I
have to wind up the rpms then it shifts which is way too much. I don't feel any difference moving the TV rod by
hand OR is that for a 'kick down' ? I just want it to shift a little earlier. sam

Im not sure how to attach pictures on this forum, but on my truck with the 391/Allison mt641, there is a different throttle linkage than my other trucks. There should be a pivot where the footfeed will hook and then goes to the carb, on the same pivot there should be an adjustable rod that goes down on the left side of the transmission. If i remember right, shortening the rod makes it shift at lower rpms. All the holes in mine were all worn out and very sloppy so I rebuilt the pivots and helped a lot. Good luck!
