Wondering if anyone has installed headers on the engine first then dropped the engine into the truck? is it a little simpler?
JBA shorties, 4.6 2v, new SS Ford stud kit, Gen 10 f150 2wd.
To be honest I don't expect to get a response , just seeing how many posts it takes to get a response or be black sheeped

Heres a response:
i have no experience with that
and likely no one else here does either.
Headers are a bit like super chargers; everyone talks about them and desires them but rarely a person actually does it. I’ve been on this forum for nearly a decade and that’s what I’ve seen anyways.

Shorties aren't much bigger than stock logs so there is no problem with putting them on before installing the engine. That is how I do it. Long tubes you will want to fit into place in the truck, then drop the engine onto them without the studs. Should be obvious why. There is not much room in the gen 10.
Also, this engine specific forum is not very active. You are likely to get much more response on the vehicle specific forum, in this case 97-03 F150. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/forum25/
