I have a 99 7.3 f350 and I’ve recently bought the bafx Bluetooth scanner and torque pro. But I’m having trouble getting all the gauges I want I tried to get a pid for my icp aswell as my ipr but neither are working someone also told me I didn’t need to mess with Pids I could download it for my 7.3 and it would already have everything I’d need but not sure how I’d go at that any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Did you add the extra Ford PID bundle? It has extra PIDs for the Powerstroke that do not come in TP as bought.
Open Settings
> Manage extra PIDs/Sensors
> Menu icon (3 dots top right corner)
> Add predefined set
> Ford (incl Powerstroke)
On another note my gauge for hpop guessing icp was reading 566-599 and my ipr read 10.8-11.2 only ran for about 30 seconds is that enough time to tell if either would be bad just replaced icp since it was throwing a cel light for it but replaced with a Napa icp and trucks been running weak. Thanks.
Those numbers are fine for idle. 566 is the psi and 10.8 is the duty cycle, aka % time the IPR opens up to achieve the psi. Napa is usually good stuff so let's assume the ICP is good. Generally stick to OEM Ford or IH sensors tho, lots of problems with aftermarket stuff. Normally ICP psi can get up to 3000 and IPR duty cycle up to 65% at WOT. If the wire on the ICP was wet with oil make sure to clean it with some brake cleaner.
Give us a bunch more info of what you're dealing with. Year of truck, symptoms, anything replaced recently, any mods, basically anything you can think of. Clear the codes and see what comes back. Give the folks here some oats to chew on, we can help you out.
