I did a search on FTE and found zero info, this is why I started this thread. I found a set of Hedman Headers #89230 shorties on SR. They are for 1954-1972 2wd F-Series with a 429/460. Wondering if anybody has tried fitment with these on one of our trucks? I am tempted to try when the time comes on my engine swap but just wondering if it has been done yet.
Interesting. Just going by the official application you mentioned I'd say no, so likely nobody's tried them. But because they're shorties and to call them "swap" headers, now that opens up a whole new list of possibilities!
I'd be tempted to try them too if I had a 460. What about that driver's side though. Do your existing (pre-swap) exhaust manifolds look like they head in those basic general directions? As Monty Python might query?
Problem #1: I am away from home till next Saturday.
Problem #2: I do not trust pictures from the internet.
Problem #3: I do have a 4wd (I know they are for a 2wd) but I might be willing to try. Just want to know if anybody has ever purchased these because I have questions.
