Tires for 2010 Flex

Well its time for tires on the wife's Flex. 236/60-r18 is the size. Continental were oem on our other Flex that was totaled out. They went 70k with regular maintenance. I put GY Viva on it and only got 30k out of them before it was totaled. It needed tires then. Replacement Flex needs tires on it now and I just don't know what brand to go with. I on my 3rd set of GY wranglers on my 98 Ranger and I got around 65k on the first 2 sets. That is the reason I went with GY for the other Flex.

Any recommendations on a tire brand? thanks Ron.....................

I'm guessing by the age of this post you have already chosen a set of tires but I'll respond anyway in case someone else may be looking.

I personally like and have had good luck out of General tires and recommend many of their products to my customers. The General HTS60 has been a good performing tire for us on SUVs and light trucks that are mostly highway driven. The Altimax RT43 is more of a passenger car all season tire but has received excellent reviews from many customers.

Other recommendations would be the Uniroyal Tiger Paw A/S. It is a long lasting tire but does tend to get noisy with age. A lower priced option but I would avoid if noise level is a priority. Also the Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Season. They seem to hold up well on Explorers which are usually hard on tires.

Thanks for replying. I replaced tires with some "GT" brand from Discount Tire. Marked as being made in the USA and has decent reviews. If they go 40k the flex will have 200k then it will be time to trade. So we shall see.
