Would someone do me a favor and take a measurement of how much space is between the the truck bed and the bottom of the canister when it’s installed? How far the canister sticks out from the back of the bed would be nice as well. Trying to see if it’s worth fabbing a sliding lockbox to go under it for tools or if I can put a small transfer tank under there. Thanks in advance!

You do know the drain tubes exit out on the bottom side of the Retrax cover housing. Just stating as you'll need to maintain clearance for them.

ATTA makes a tank specifically for the Retrax canister style bed cover. It is in kinda a backwards "L" shape.
Roughly 14" from the front of the bed and 10.5" from the bottom. Like somebody stated above, you have a drain tube on each side that exits at the bottom of the canister.
Had KSH fab a tank to fit under the Retrax, but don't have the measurements any longer. Had the horizontal part of the lower tank sloped toward front and just left the drains off. There is so much space in the corners of the bed (even with LineX), there is no problem with water draining out and thru bed. If you try to keep the drains with a tank portion under the cover, the tubes will kink and plug with leaves/dirt/etc, unless you make the L portion so low it won't hold much fuel. You could try an elbow on the drains, but once you put everything in place, you won't be able to access the drain tubes if they plug. My tank holds approx 55 gal and fits under the cover/has elec pump to transfer controlled by #1 upfitter. But don't forget to turn it off--fuel will come out of the top of the OEM tank if you over pump, but NOT the fuel cap.
EDIT: found the diagram from KSH, send me your email and I will forward it to you. joedobry@gmail.com

I did not know that, thanks for the reply.

Joe
I'll have to look into that, do you know if it's real pricy for a tank of it's size?

Awesome, thank you.
