My first service

Last July I purchased another 6.7; today (almost one year later) I took it to the dealer for servicing.

Details: mileage 3709, mostly pulling a 16K fifth.
They performed an oil and filter change and claimed they rotated tires. Despite their claiming to have done this I had to return it for them to top off the tire pressures (6-8 pounds) all around.

I didn't think too much of the $90.31 bill until I got home and read the details. $24.38 for the Ford oil filter, $45.63 for Motorcraft oil.
The balance was labor ($12), tax $6.30, shop and environment supplies.

Next time maybe I'll provide my own purchased filters and a roll of paper towels. Then I'll present them with the $10 credit allowance they've provided me for the tires NOT being topped off AS SPECIFICALLY REQUESTED.

It's hard to trust anyone working on my truck these days. I'm lucky enough to be able to do all of my own maintenance. I ONLY go to a shop for repairs if absolutely necessary.

When I had my 6.7L, dealer charged closer to $150 for the works package oil change and DEF fill. I had no issue around the price, more around the time this service took. $90.31 at a dealership seems like a great price but if you want to do it yourself, that's great too. Enjoy.
