Sorry Guys Another Spring Question...
My choices are to remove the stock blocks in the rear and build replacements to level me out, or just add the lower leaf and bump stop from a stock Ex rear pack and hope the front settles in after a few miles. I've searched for days on FTE and Googled as well. I can find the entire leaf pack or I can find the replacement bumpers but I can not find just the lower leaf. Anyone have a part number for me? Opinions on if this will work or if I should build the blocks? How much can I look for the fronts to settle after driving?
I'm not interested in bags. I do all of the heavy towing with the F350 and brackets and fittings just don't last the winters with the salt around here. When we broke leaves on the 2000 Pro Comp would not even replace them because they were too rusty to identify. I would rather have it a bit lower in the the front than go higher in the rear but I'm tired of the rubbing.
Thoughts on a fix for where I'm at now? Thanks in advance all...
maybe pick one of those up? In the Tech section there is a discussion about the 4" flat block vs 4" angled block. I can't remember which is better for an Excursion. It affects the pinion angle and can cause driveline vibration. Wish I could tell you which one is preferred.
but with my money, I'd snag some 4" OEM blocks and call it a day. Especially if you like the ride with your current setup. If you cannot find OEM, steel blocks are pretty cheap on eBay.
