How do you remove the outer fuel door from the inner hinge? There is a tab on the inside of the door and the door itself looks like it has L shaped rails the door slides onto the inner hinge piece. Can I push or pull the tab and slide the door off and if so which way should the door be moved?
Just a follow up for those interested. The tab in the picture above does need to be pried out about 3/8" and the fuel door will easily slide off. To slide off pull the door away from the hinged end. I'm going to use some K&J Magnetics neodymium magnets to hold the fuel door closed so it doesn't come open when going through a car wash and wanted to install a magnet or peice of steel between the outer and inner fuel door.

Old post but need help. Mine came off. How to put on? can't figure it out. From seeing this post I may have to pry the tab out and slide it back to the hinge then release tab?
