Hope ya'll got thru Dorian OK. Watching Jim Cantore not get knocked down once so it could have been a lot worse.
*Sings* I GET KNOCKED DOWN!! BUT I GET UP AGAIN.. YOUR NEVER GONNA KEEP ME DOWN.. I GET KNOCKED DOWN!! BUT I GET UP AGAIN... YOUR NEVER GONNA KEEP ME DOWN!!!
LOL...
all i got was some outer bands and some wind.. its bright and sunny outside right now.. but being windy..
Just some wind and rain here. Power didn't even flicker. So that was nice. One or two small limbs down. Nothing the kids can't move. Could have been a lot worse. I hear the outer banks took the brunt of it here in NC.
First day of the new Job today. Lots of meetings and filling out the HR stuff. So that's happening. Really happy with the new team I am with. Hopefully this goes smooth and I can run till I'm ready to retire. Which I hope can come early.
We all hope to retire early LOL
I hope to do this is about 5 years when some of my CDL driving cirts. have to be renewed.
My wife does not like the hours I work both get up times and how many hours in a day.

Thanks Dave.
before I worked for a company that resold and implemented software for several different companies. I integrated these softwares together, configured them to meet the clients needs and then continued to support and maintain those solutions.
now I’m teaching the software, working for the manufacturer. Oh and to top it all of, my old boss, will be in one of my first classes. Now that’s what I call karma.

we have solar on the house. But that doesn’t change the wires running from the grid. When it’s storming like that, really not producing a lot of juice.
Mornen fellers!
We've been busy around the house building some shelves in the front room. We should be finished with those this weekend.
I've been looking to upgrade on smokers for the last few months, and almost ordered a new Lang until I got hit with an additional $600 just to ship it, and that was half the cost of the smoker.
But I snagged me a SWEET deal off of a craigslist ad, and only an hour from the house. The guy I bought it from was the original owner, and had some factory upgrades added to it too.
I got it for about half of what he had in it, and it's just a couple of years old. It gets fired up tomorrow, stuff to do today. My new Lang, Model 36, Hybrid Deluxe reverse flow smoker.
Bob, Saw that on you other page. I was pretty jealous then when I saw it. Nice looking unit. I love the fact that the wheels look like they are actually decent and not rinky-dink roll around the driveway like the box store ones. I can see spending a grand on something like that. But an additional 600 in shipping might put it out of the realm of interest. So good deal.
Alright. So today, I'm actually doing a partial presentation for the first class I'm teaching. Wish me luck. A couple of surprises I've had here at the new job. I've never seen such a good benefits package offered. They decided to go ahead and pay me my first check even before I finished working the first week. and they have decided to wave all criteria for my first bonus check. So, that being said. I'm liking this new company a lot.
Also, there's been mention of sending me to Nashville for a conference. If so, I will find a way to get to Opryland again, and see a show. With that being said. I'm still working on trying to get stuff out of the old house. The painters and the contractors have been hard at work.
Alright. Best go make lunch for the little one and get her out the door.
i would say we need to start the fall thread but theyre calling for another record breaking heat day tomorrow so dunno if fall can really fall under that atm... lol
