the only annoyance i have when it comes to bikes is when i tell people what bikes i like the looks of thatd suit me they come in going "ohh noo you need to get something with 900 or more CC's to it for the smoother ride... and youll have more power... " for me power isnt what im looking at for a bike plus i dont mind a little rumble in the seat... would just feel like an old school muscle car hehe.. plus to me telling someone to get something with that large of a motor for a starter bike is like telling a 16 yr old with a learners permit to go out and get a shelby cobra, a ferarri or some other supercar as their first vehicle...
which id like to have the bike before going after the license and all that.. no point in having the license if i cant ride... i wanted to do that all in VB prior to the move but its just WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY to dangerous to ride out there... too many idiots not paying attention to what their doing and the other bunch would more likely put you into a wall just to have the place on the road than share it... out here in the "country" its no where near like it is over there... its alot nicer.. have i run across some jack bags... sure... but people seem to pay more attention to what theyre doing and more polite about it than it was over there..
My "starter" bike was a 1500, it only goes as fast as you twist the throttle. I almost bought a smaller bike (900-1100 cruiser) and I'm so glad I didn't. I'd of been bored with it in the first week of riding.
Whaddupp fellers!
I'm still lurking around, not gonna get rid of me that easy.
Four years ago this evening, Marty and I almost met our fate with these burgers.

I'm waiting on the edge of my seat for any of these jobs to call me back. The two I'm most interested in are the Software Trainer, and the Ag field technician. Also have another technical call tomorrow to show off some of my abilities. It's been years since I wrote a line of code with some one watching. So there is that.
Oh well, guess I better keep myself busy. I'll try to check back in later today.
Going pretty good, trying to stay cool, did a little stuff around the house earlier. Bout to work on the truck some more.
Least it has cooled off for the last couple of weeks. This 70 degree weather is real nice.
Kids started back to school this week. This whole father thing is really kind of crazy. But as much as I feel like I am yelling and screaming, these guys really are pretty well behaved. I think I have a lead on a job, and am hoping for a contract\offer here soon.
so a few people here I know are interested in a junk yard run. I wanted to check with everyone and see if we wanted to make it a chapter get together. LkQ is pretty well picked over for most things older than 2000, if they even have any. But i have another yard that is a lot less commercialized in mind with a lot more older vehicles. McLeod Auto Crushing is the name of the place, though I didn’t see any crushing going on.

You got that right. I didn't eat for almost two days after that meal. It was good though.
I hope all you fine folks out there are staying cool and doing OK.
Got out to Jordan lake on Thursday for a night of camping. Marty joined me for the first night, then the wife, kids and FIL joined for Friday and Saturday. Back on Sunday. Got to get out on the kayaks a few times and out in Wesley’s boat some on Sunday.
Smoked some meat and grilled out a few times. Over all a nice experience. Though I left al the food in the camper fridge when we got back. Thought it would run plugged in, but it didn’t. So now I need to figure out what is going on with that. Also a few other electrical items went haywire in the camper!
Im good with electricity but just inexperienced with 110 stuff. Uncle Marty!!! @FordxFour
Josh, check your battery voltage. If I remember correctly you turned the converter off. The control voltage on the fridge is 12v and if the battery gets weak it will shut off the the fridge.
Evening fellas, hope everyone is doing well. Looking like tomorrow at this time I'll have a hurricane parked on top of me. Tonight we have some rain but no wind yet... got the generator setup in the building and ready to go, as well as a good bit of gas stored in there.
